WHAT IS AN ENERGY EFFICIENCY SNAPSHOT?

A Snapshot is a quick, no-cost first look at how your building uses energy and compares its energy efficiency against that of similar buildings nationwide.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS SERVICE?

• The building must be located in the greater Detroit metro region.
  
• You or your organization must own the building- even if you lease it out to others.

• It must have at least 5,000 gross square feet in a single structure, and must be one of the following building types: 
• Offices
• Bank/Financial Institutions
• Courthouses
• K-12 Schools
• Hospitals (Acute Care and Children's)
• Hotels
• Retail Stores
• Supermarkets
• Residence Halls/Dormitories
• Warehouses
• Medical Offices
• Wastewater Facilities

WHAT DO YOU GET?

The result of this is an EPA Statement of Energy Performance that provides a comparative view of your facility's energy performance and environmental impact, and includes an indication of the amount of greenhouse gases it produces. You also receive a graphical representation of your energy use, and a cover letter explaining the results of the snapshot.
